The Catholic War Veterans is a national organization awarded a charter by the Congress of the United States in 1985. The organization was founded in 1938 and consists of nation, state, county and local echelons. The Fr. Washington post was chartered in Paramus in 1952.

Our mission:
To help make the lives of our veterans more enjoyable, to make the youth of our parish more aware of the sacrifices of our military people, and to practice our religion so we are good example to our family and neighbors.

Membership Requirements - To be a Practicing Catholic having received an honorable discharge after serving in the Armed Forces of the United States.

Meeting - Monthly on the fourth Thursday at 8 PM

Monthly Mass - Last Sunday at 8 AM at Our Lady of the Visitation

Other Major Activities -

  • Contributing to the spiritual and corporal care of the residents of the Paramus Veterans Home.
     
  • Involvement in programs for the youth of the community.
     
  • Assisting the less fortunate in the area.
     
  • Tending to the needs of our fellow members and their families.
