The OLV Rosary Society is an organization of parish women diligently working together to promote and preserve devotion to Our Blessed Lady, Her Divine Son and the Rosary. Since 1952, through the efforts pf hundreds of dedicated women, the OLV Rosary Society has thrived in our parish and community. The organization provides for the spiritual growth of its members, reaches out to the needy, and the hosts social activities. A typical year will find Rosarians assisting priests at the baptisms, attending retreats, praying for the unborn., visiting the sick and infirmed, laundering altar linens. awarding scholarships, and raising funds for various parish and community causes. A highlight of the Rosarian year is the May Crowning of Our Blessed Mother and praying the living rosary. the rosary is begun in a darkened church. As each bead is prayed, a candle is lit. by the end of the rosary, there are flickering candles around the church in the outline of a rosary, and the church is aglow in candlelight. Parishioners are invited to attend this very special event. The rosary is prayed each Monday night beginning at 6:45 pm, prior to the 7:15 pm novena mass. Additionally, the Rosary is prayed following the Saturday 9 am mass. Members are strongly encouraged to pray the rosary on their own, as well. All women of the parish are welcome to join the Rosary Society.
