=Feed the Birds!=
Visitation Academy - The seventh grade and Kindergarten students
recently got together to make a pine cone bird feeder. First the
students tied a piece of string to one end of a pinecone. Next they
mixed one part margarine to one part peanut butter. This mixture was
then applied to the pinecone. It was then rolled in bird seed. The
feeders were placed in the freezer over night so that the peanut butter
mixture bonded to the bird seed. The students then brought the bird
feeders home to hang them on a tree. Remember, all living things must
eat. Even our friends the birds in the harsh winter months.
